Global Prevalence of Dengue Viral Infection, Its Pathogenesis Diagnostic and Preventive Approaches
نویسندگان
چکیده
Dengue viral infection (DVI) is amongst a big Global health challenges. The clinical manifestations of disease ranges from subclinical Dengue fever (DF) to the complicated dengue haemorrhagic fever (DHF) and dengue shock syndrome (DSS). Reason behind this is the absence of specific tetravalent vaccine and the anti virals. The mortality rate with the infection might exceed upto 5%. Therefore, there is a dire need to emphasize the adoption of preventive strategies and to control the vector Aedesaegypti mosquito population. Moreover, the regular cross sectional, age stratified, serological surveys are the surveillance tools for monitoring the impact of Dengue prevention/ control and a better way to plan for potential epidemics.

High-level expression of recombinant dengue viral NS-1 protein and its potential use as a diagnostic antigen.
The prevalence of NS1 Ab response in patients with dengue viral infection and the potential of using recombinant NS1 protein as a diagnostic antigen for dengue viral infection were investigated. In this study, the full-length and C-terminal half of NS1 proteins (rNS1, rNS1-C) were highly expressed (10-30 mg/l) and further purified and refolded. The good antigenicity of the full-length rNS1 prot...

Dengue is a self-limited, systemic viral infection which is transmitted between humans by mosquitoes. The rapidly expanding global footprint of dengue is not only a public health challenge but also an economic burden. This review highlights the current understanding of dengue, including its pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, investigations that are used to diagnosis, management and preventi...

Dear Editor-in-Chief The present global consideration is on the recent outbreak of 2014 Western Ebola virus in West Africa (1 – 3). This viral hemorrhagic fever wide spreads to several countries in West Africa and remote countries (1 - 3). With high death rate, the disease is presently on the list of public health threatens. The main problem for management of the infection is the limited knowl...
متن کاملRole of Complement in Dengue Virus Infection: Protection or Pathogenesis?
Dengue viruses (DENV) cause a spectrum of disease in humans, ranging from dengue fever (DF) to a severe, life-threatening syndrome called dengue hemorrhagic fever/dengue shock syndrome (DHF/DSS). Despite the global morbidity and mortality associated with DENV infection, mechanisms of immune control and viral pathogenesis are poorly understood. In a recent article, Avirutnan et al. [mBio 2(6):e0...
متن کاملInvariant NKT Cell Response to Dengue Virus Infection in Human
BACKGROUND Dengue viral infection is a global health threat without vaccine or specific treatment. The clinical outcome varies from asymptomatic, mild dengue fever (DF) to severe dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF). While adaptive immune responses were found to be detrimental in the dengue pathogenesis, the roles of earlier innate events remain largely uninvestigated. Invariant natural killer T (iNK...
